AUCKLAND, January 3. C. A. Robertson, teacher, in the employ of the Board of Education, died at Otaru on Saturday morning from the result of a fall from his horse. A man named J. Mills was found unconscious in Wellesley-street, and died shortly afterwards. Death was, probably due to apoplexy. TAURANGA, January 4. Robt. Kelly, charged with stealing the mail bags, has been committed for trial.
