200 LIVES LOST.
(reoter's telegrams.) LONDON, November 20. A terrible shipping disaster occurred in the channel last night. The Rotterdam possenger steamer Scholten having coma into collision with another steamer tbe name of which is at present unknown. The Scholten sank almost immediately and upward of 200 persons were drowned. Fifty were saved and landed at Dover. Lamb. Further particulars of the disastrous collision in the channel state that the Scholten was bound for New York. The total number of persons drowned is now given at 150.
