MELBOURNE MARKETS.
Melbourne, October 13. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company held their nsual wool sale to-day. There was a large attendance of buyers, including representatives of home and foreign, houses, the former operating freely. The market ruled lower than the opening, sale Ikst year, but the tone was much firmer and. the competition more spirited, than last week. Prices generally ranged comparatively higher those obtained in the Home market. 1900 bales were offered for sale, greasy -wool realising 11 Jd and icoured 14} d per lb.
