MESSRS. HUNTER AND NOLAN'S REPORT.

Auckland, October 13. Horses. — A good many were brought forward at the Durham yards last Friday, and met (an improved demand at slightly increased values, but nothing of a really good stamp was disposed of. Competition was brisk for strangers, and there remained an unsatisfied demand for horses of s good stamp. We quote hacks at from £6 10s to JBI3 10a; light harness horses, 7s 10s to £11 10s; spring cart horses, £8 10s to .£l4. Wool, Hides, Skins, and Tallow.— The demamd'&as continued brisk for hides, which were in moderate quantities. We quote ox hides at from 3|d to 4}d per lb ; cow -hides, 3d to 3sd per lb ; calf skins. 4|d per lb; sheep skins, 4s lOd to ssßds Bd each. Fat Cattle. — The Newmarket yards on Tuesday were fairly filled. Prime fat oxen, light weights, fully maintained the previous week's values, but other descriptions barely did so. Fat steers sold at from £5 to £8 12s 6d; fat cows, M to £4 15s. Fat Sheep. — There was a tolerably good muster at Newmarket on Tuesday. Tbe demand was brisk, particularly for wellfatted wethers, which in wool sold at from 15s to 17s ; fat ewes, 9s 6d to 15s 6d. Fat lambs were not so plentiful as on the previous week's market, and sold at from 6s to 14s 9d. Pigs. — Pigs were more plentiful on Tuesday, and were well competed for at from 2d to 3d per lb live weight.
