NOW PUBLISHED. THE STAR ALMANACK, 1887. PRICE, ONE SHILLING.

Opinions of The Press. We have been favored with a copy of the Stab . Almanack for 1887. It is a surprisingly creditable h production for a small town like Hawera, and the tf compilers and printers may reasonably feel satisfied with their work. The almanack contains a great variety of the most useful information, and consists of no fewer than 261 pages, not including advertisements. — Wellington Press. I The Stab Almanack for this year, printed l " and published by Messrs. Innes and Co.. of Hawera 1, would do credit to any of the large offices in the [. principal commercial centres of the colony. Compiled with ability and care, adapted to the wants of everyone, aud containing 261 pages of printed 5- matter oinittinf? advertisements, the Stai it Almanack should find a place in every household ,i. throughout the district in which it is published.— Wanganui Chronicle. We acknowledge receipt from Massrs. Innes and Co., of a copy of the Star Almanack for 1887. As usual, the publication contains much useful information, and should be found very valuable by everj B, settler along this coast. It contains very correct p • directories of the towns of New Plymouth, Waitara, ' ' etc, as well as Hawera, Normanby, and other places, Every year this valuable almanack shows marked S, improvement, and we' must congratulate the pub' 1 . Ushers on this evidence of success. The almanack ia printed in first-class style, on excellent paper, . and we can-safely say that the general " get up "is ~ -equal to that of any similar publication in the Colony. — Taranaki News. The ak AI/Makacx for 1887, a copy of whicli has been sent us;,' is a very neatly printed, aud somewhat 'bulky -publication containing v large -■ amount of information on all sorts of subjects. 11 ; should ensure a large sale, and we hope the enterprising proprietors will be recouped for the outluj they inust?havi4/gone to in the getting of it up.— Taranaki Herald 1 j We have to acknowledge with thanks the receipt "- ' from the publishers, of a copy of the Star Alhan- ; jlex. It is impossible to give anything like at . ; adeqaat^idea of the real utility of the work, for il _ i cpntains,26l pages of matter, exclusive of adver _ - tisemente/'and •very' page conveys some-upefu l~ informatipm, to rthe reader. In fact it is.-rapjdlj ; becomingr'a settler's «ad» mccum, and can give points m to any almanack published ou this coast.— Pate IWIT
