LONDON, July 9.
Great preparations are being made for the entertainment of a large party of colonial guests in Portsmouth. A luncheon will be given on board H.M.S. Victory, followed by an exhibition of torpedo practice.
SYDNEY, July 9
This evening the Assembly is still sitting, the House being in committee on tho Customs Bill. The galleries have been closed. A point has been raised that there is no House, as the Speaker did not take the chair to-day. Great confusion exists in the Chamber, and Messrs. Sheppard and Wisdon have been suspended for disorderly conduct.
