FRIENDLY SOCIETIES.
AUCKLAND, April 7. A meeting of delegates friendly to societies, representing 2000 members was held to consider a circular from the societies in Masterton. A resolution was carried to take steps to obtain the repeal of sub-section 5, oi section 12, and clause A, sub-section 6, of the New Zealand Friendly Societies Act, also that a committee be appointed to report.
