RATE TARIFF AGITATION.
CHRISTCHURCH, April 7. The Premier has replied to the chairman of the late public meeting that the objections to an increase of rates have already been answered. As to giving the management to a nonpolitical board that must be discussed by the country and settled by Parliament.
