Sales of Power

BIG INCREASE REPORTED TOTAL REACHES £168,903 Power sales jumped from v £144,92S 9s 7d to £168,903 4s, an increase of £23,974 :14s sd, in the period from April to October, according to a report presented to the Hutt Valley Electric Power Board at its last meeting by the general managerengineer, Mr. I. R. Robinson.

The individual increases were: Domestic, £64,857 lis 6d to £7 3,"6 5 3 10s Id, an increase of £8795 18s 7d; commercial lighting, £13,101 18s to £16,841 6s 2d, an increase.of £3739 8s 2d; commercial heating and cooking, £5647 3s 3d to £7184 14s Id, an increase Of £1537 10s lOd; domestic water heating, £17,497 9s 9d to £21,205 14s 9d, an increase of £3708 ss; commercial water heating, £1163 19s 2d to £1229 9s 6d, an increase of £65 10s 4d; power under 25 h.p., £7556 13s 2d to £SBBB 10s Bd, an increase of £1331 17s 6d; power 25 h.p. to 100 h.p., £4139 to £4222 Is 2d, an increase of £B3 Is 2d; power over 100 h.p., £28,264 4s 3d to £32,982 5s lid, an increase of £4718 Is 8d; street lighting, £1906 9s to £2ool'6s 9d, an increase of £94 17s 9d. ./The only decrease was in power for milking plants, which dropped from £794 Is 6d to £694 4s lid, a decrease of £99 16s 7d.
