Authority Flouted

DANGEROUS OLD BRIDGE Authority and danger have again been flouted in connection with the wooden bridge that was closed to traffic by the Lower Hutt City Council some time ago on account of its dangerous condition. Two holes have been sawn in the Bft high wooden barricades which were erected at each end of the bridge to the fact that pedestrians ignored the warning notices. City Council officials state that anyone using the bridge is liable to prosecution, and it is to be hoped that an example will be made of offenders who are flouting authority.
