Mil. MILLARD'S SUGGESTION At a meeting oi" the Wellington Rugby Union Mr. J. N. Millard, in reporting on arrangements for representative games, suggested that competition matches should begin at least a week earlier in future seasons. It was very difficult to lit in all fixtures with the late start as U present. The matter could be borne in mind as a recommendation to t»v■ xt year's committee. Mr. Millard said there would be no competition sanies on May 17 when the final All Black trial would b<- h.id at Wellington and a Wellington team would play Taranakl at Hawera On July 5 Wellington would play Canterbury at Christchurch. Competition games in all grades would continue in Wellington on that day in order to ensure finishing senior games by August 2:>. No date had been fixed lor the National Mutual Cup play, "nut September 27 could be used if thought fit. Marlborough was desirous ol a game, but bad a heavy programme. The fixtures were approved. ,
