HOSPITAL LEVIES
LOCAL BODY CONTRIBUTIONS
Hospital levies on local bodies within the Wellington Hospital Board's district for the year 1947-48 show a considerable reduction on the amounts levied last year, owing to the operation of the Finance Act (No. 2), 194 C. They include:— Lower Hutt City Council. £21.780/ 11/»; (i':{r»,79:?/7/7 in the previous yearj; Petone Borough Council. £7.'JOO/9/fi (£13,974/14/5); Hutt. County Council. £7292/7/10 (£14,427/7/2); Upper Hutt Borough Council. £22f»G/lfi/l (£4323/3/4). The Board estimates its net expenditure at £636,749, of which £489,155/10/10 is to be contributed by way of subsidy from the Government.
