WAIMARIE ROCQUET CLUB
CLOSING* DAY OF SEASON* At the conclusion oi" one of Uk> most successful and enjoyable sousons members of the Waimarie Croquet Club held their closing day function ;it Rlddiford Park. Members of the Wellington Croquet Council were guests and were welcomed by the president, Mrs. G. Savage, who presented the visitors with shoulder sprays. Hydrangeas of beautiful hues were massed in bowls in the pavilion, and the tables, with their Moral decoration's in the club's colours of brown and gold, interspersed with maidenhair fern, presented an attractive appearance. At the conclusion of afternoon tea trophies won during the season were presented by the Deputy-Mayoress, Mrs. c. Mitchell, to the following members: -Baldwin Cup. Mrs. G. !I. Mount; Intermediate Cup. Mrs. B. Jartlen; Junior A. Mrs. J. Jarden; Cameron Cup, Mrs. L. Turner; Hon. Members' Shield. Mrs. J. Jartlen; Judd Shield, Mrs. B. Jarden; strand Shield. Mrs, !'. Carve'y; Watkins Trophy. Mrs. \V, Moeller; Routley Trophy. Mrs. .1. Shanks: Club ('airs. Mesdanu-s \V. Moeller and I*. Tunley: Learners' Trophy. Mrs. J. Dallenger; Consolation Tropin. Mrs. A. Wright; U. Sliver Button.
