HARVEST FESTIVAL
MOEKA FREE KINDERGARTEN
On Thursday, April 10. a harvest festival, organised by the staff, was hel<! at the Moera Branch of the N. B. Riley Lower Hutt. Free Kindergarten.
Several mothers accepted the staffs invitation to be present and a pleasant morning was spent watching the activities of the children. A table laden with produce was evidence of the children's interest, each child having contributed. During the morning the produce was sold, the proceeds to be used for the Kindergarten. A competition was won by Mrs. Ward, of Woburn. the prize being an artistically-arranged basket of produce—the work of Mrs. Burns. Morning tea was served by voluntary helpers. Miss Gorrie. on behalf of the staff, thanked the mothers for their assistance and interest.
