A. HUTT ELECTORATE PROGRESS At the annual meeting of the New Zealand National Party (Hutt Electorate t, held on Monday evening. Mr. It. F. Savage stated that the party organisation was in very good shape and that last election year there were 3,000 members, as against 850 members during election year 1943. In November Mr. J. B. F. Vogel polled 4,931 votes, as against the '.Socialist candidate's 7,523, this I meaning a reduction In majority for I the Socialist candidate f»'om 5.2R0 ' voles to L'/:.57.
