VIOTOHISTS ANO CYCLISTS FINED Several motorists were fined in the Magistrate's Court at Lower Hutt, before Mr. H. G. Thompson, 3.M. John M. Sands, for driving a .notor vehicle without due care and attention, was fined £l, with costs 10/-. On a similar charge John J. Carroll was ordered to pay Court josts, 1?,/-. Raymond Mence, for operating a heavy vehicle at night without lights, was lined 15/-, with costs 10/-. Eric Eraser, for driving a car for which he was not the holder of a license, was lined 10/-, with costs U/-.
John W. Chivers was fined a similar amount lor riding a bicycle at night without a light. Kor riding their bicycles along the footway in Naenae Road, William Anderson, Garvin A. Brown, Alfred Silk, Clinton A. Stuart, and Harold Leslie Carter were each lined 5/-, vvith costs 10/-. Several of the offenders stated that they rode on ■,he footway because t-".e roau was 'ia, such, a bad condition.
