LOWER HUTT APPOINTMENT

SUPERINTENDENT OF RESERVES

Mr. A.' White, superintendent of reserves at Nelson, has been appointed to succeed Mr. E. Ilutt as superintendent of reserves to the Lower Hutt City Coouncil. Mr. White is president of the Nelson Horticultural Society and has judged at many shows in and around Nelson, and at national and iubilee shows in Timaru and Oama.ru. Mr. White, who has had wide experience in Scotland and New Zealand, is c:\dited with having introduced many varieties of plants to the Dominion. The laying out of the Centennial Memorial Gardens at Nelson was among his many successful schemes.
