The Hutt Band, whose fine playing was keenly enjoyed, was heard in the march "Hutt Civic" (composed by Mr. Thurkettle, conductor of the Band), "Rosamunde," a Wait/. for drummers (in which the work of the drummers was very effective), "Lady of Spain," "Meditation," a selection by Tschaikowsky, "Jeanie With the Light Brown Hair" (arranged by Mr. Thurkettle), and "And the Glory of the Lord." The visiting bandsmen were welcomed by the Mayor, Mr. W. Kemp, who congratulated them on their fine performance.
