MEETING OP EXECUTIVE DATES OF SHOWS FIXED The monthly meeting of the executive of the Hutt Valley Horticultural Society was held recently. The president, Mr. N. B. Gibbons, occupied the chair. The president conipliihented the exhibitors and the members who had assisted with the last show. He considered it was a most worthy effort and the ibegonias exhibited were especially fine and would be a credit to a show in any part of the world. Mention was also made of the efforts of the new secretary, Mr. G. W. Gairns, who had conduct.ed his first show in a most able manner. He was congratulated and thanked .for his efforts. The president reported on the negotiations being carried on between the R.S.A. and the Society, in regard to the lease of the Horticultural Hall. The R.S.A. has entered into an arrangement with the Society for the lease ofi the hall and will take possession of it as soon as the military authorities will terminate their present tenancy. It is not possible to say when this will be done.

The following dates were fixed for next year's shows:—September 18 and 19, November 13, February 12 and 13, April 16 and 17.
