<j>SIX ORGANISATIONS BENEFIT A profit of £656/3/- was made by the Hutt Valley Victory Carnival held a few months ago, according to a final statement presented by the treasurer, Mr. C. Halford, this week. As a result £lO9/7/2 will be handed to each of the following organisations:—Lower Hutt Rlunket Society, Lower Hutt Free Kindergarten, Lower Hutt Combined Bands, St. John Ambulance Association, Hutt Valley Y.M.C.A., " and Hutt Valley and Bays Boy Scouts. Among the receipts were: Gate takings, £373/16/3; half share in Luna Park takings, £577/10/6; headless woman, £4 5/18/5; monkey speedway, £62/12/4; ice cream stall £55/9/9; soft drinks, £9O/10/6; tea, £l7/14/3; candy floss stalls, £SO; skill ball, £37/16/7. Items of expenditure included: — Organiser, £ll6/17/4; advertising, £75/6/-; electrical contract, £l5B- - ice cream £43 , 13/4; display expenses £23/7/10; • stalls erection, £147/18/11. *
