Blackmore, formerly of Lower Hutt, has been appointed to the Baptist Church at Gore. • • • • Miss Rowena Jackson, the wellknown New Zealand dancer, left for England last week to take up the Royal Academy of Dancing scholarship which was awarded her in 1941. The war prevented her departure for London until now. She will go to the-Sadlers Wells School of Ballet.
