TOWNSWOMEN'S GUILD

ALICETOWN BRANCH The annual meeting of the Alicetown Townswomen's Guild was held in the Congregational Church Hall, Mrs. A. B. Cox presiding. Mrs. Morgan,, Mrs. Simpkiss junr., and Mrs Dickson were,welcomed as new members. 5 "Mi's. 31 subscribers, the new books being greatly appreciated. The convenors gave a • brief outline of their activities throughout the year. Mrs. Tomkins gave the monthly thought. The best flower competition was won by Mrs. Black. Three competitions were much enjoyed, two being won by Mrs. Stokes and one by Mrs.. Dickson. Members offered help for Poppy Day. Mrs. Morgan gave two elocutionary items and Mrs Pole sang two delightful solos. The new committee is as follows: Mesdames Clark, Black, Doran, Dickson, Carter, Britton, Offord, Pole, Leach, Veitch, Simpkiss junr., and Brangley. . .
