HUTT VALLEY ASSOCIATION The following were the results of the senior grade matches in the Hutt Valley Cricket Association's competitions on Saturday:— Petone United, 136 and 45 for three wickets, beat Stop Out, IS3 and 138. Five-point win for Petone United. Trafalgar Park 157 for seven wickets, declared, and 115 for three wickets, beat Taita 93 and 169. An eight-point win for Trafalgar Park. Eastbourne, 229 beat Celtic 71 and ,53. An eight-point win for Eastbourne. Air Force, 268 beat Army 97 and 15 for no wickets. Game abandoned owing to rain. A five-point win for Air Force. WELLINGTON ASSOCIATION In the Wellington Cricket Association's .competition the only match completed was that between University and Petone,, on the- Hutt Recreation Ground. This game resulted in a win for University by 42 runs on the first innings. With only one more.game to play, the following are the positions of the teams in the senior championship competition:— University 32 points, Hutt 28, Wellington College Old Boys 26, Karori 26, Wellington 24, Midland 24, Kilbirnie 22, St. Patrick's Old Boys 16, Institute Old Boyss 9, Petone 0. WELLINGTON v. AUSTRALIA The selectors have chosen the following cricket team to represent Wellington against the Australian team, at Wellington, on March 22, 23, 25, and 26: —J. R.
