URGENT NEED
HOME AIDS IN HUTT The great need of more home aids in the Hutt Valley continues, and the National Service Department makes an urgent appeal for more women between the ages of 18 and 50 years to take up this very important work. The object of the Department is to provide much-needed help in the homes, and there are some distressing cases which need assistance at once. In some cases where full-time aid is wanted the Department has been able to send only part-time workers, and it has been unable to send help at all in some maternity cases. Women taking up the work have congenial conditions, with a 40-hour week, good wages, and sick and holiday benefits. At the same time they have the satisfaction of knowing "that they are helping distressed families. Those wishing to become home aids should apply at the Department's office in the Post Office Buildings. In anticipation of an expansion of the service people requiring home aids are asked to send their names to the Department at once.
