HUTT VALLEY BRANCH
V The April meeting of the above Branch was attended by 25 members and 16 visitors, Mr. C. H. Mitchell, president, presiding and giving a warm* welcome to all.
The Branch* members fecorded their pleasure at the receipt of donations from'the patron, Mr. I. R. Robinson, the N.Z Electrical Journal and the Institute Council .
In order to continue meetings in the National Party Rooms, it was decided that meetings be held on Wednesday evenings at four weekly intervals. It was decided that an effort be made to establish a Technical Library for the use of members.
For unavoidable reasons the lecture advertised could not be given, and Mr. F. F. Gilmore, president of the Institute substituted with an excellent address on "Safeguarding Life from Fire." The talk was profusely illustrated by means of slides and Mr. Gilmore answered several questions by members. A vote of thanks was accorded the speaker and supper served by the committee concluded a successful evening.
