TAITA WOMEN'S INSTITUTE
There was a good attendance at the April meeting. Mrs. J. W. Jones presided and welcomed all present. The autumn flower show was held, and the following were the prizewinners:— Mesdames Sage, Keal Sole, Boyce, Ryan, Pemberton, Cars non, Hamilton, Westbury and Dyer. Miss Allman kindly judged the exhibits and gave a brief talk on the decorative work of the show. Mrs Loveridge was congratulated on the splendid report of the Council meeting. -
Mrs. Draper is Taita's new executive member and Mrs Foster has been appointed to the Dominion Council. A collection is taken for soldiers' 'parcels every month. The best flower in the garden wa won by Mrs. Dyer, and the competition for something for a baby, was : won by Mrs Vass.
