HOSPITAL APPEAL
LINEN AND BOOKS
In an effort to overcome wartime shortages at the Hutt Hospital, an urgent appeal for old linen and books is being made by the Hutt Hospital Women's Auxiliary. The hon. secretary of the auxiliary, Mrs H. Bennett, states that the need for old linen is a matter of real urgency and parcels of same may be left at the Mayor's office.
The books are required in connection with the newly formed hospital library scheme for patients, Books in good condition comprising modern light reading, thrillers, etc., are very popular with the patients and donations of same will be received at the City Council offices for despatch to the hospital.
