MAN-POWER PROSECUTION
A young woman, Elizabeth Muir Duncan, was prosecuted by the Manpower Officer in the Lower Hutt Court on Friday before Mr. W. C. Harley, S.M., with failing to register, leaving employment without permission, and failing to comply with an order of an officer of the department. The defendant was convicted and ordered to pay the costs on the first charge and convicted and discharged oh the other two. Mr. Harley said it' 1 was The drtlty of persons in essential industries, if they were ill and could not attend to their duties, to notify their employers at once.
