HELIX), EVERYBODY! Some fervent prayers were answered on Saturday, 6th instant, and the Scout fraternity was more than grateful for a glorious day. The East Harbour Rally was a great success, the programme of Scout and Cub -demonstrations going over well to the large crowd. The Campfire at night was attended by labout 1 400 people, and the sum of about £100 was secured for the East Harbour Group Building Fund. The new Third Lower Ilutt Scout Hall was officially opened by His Worship the Mayor, Mr. J. i.W;«• Andrews, last Saturday afternoon before a very large crowd. The Scouts of the County wish "Thirds" the best of luck in their new home, for which they have worked so hard. Upwards of SO Manawatu Scouts, Scouters and Lady Cubmasters were our guests last week-end and the programme arranged went off very successfully. Our Scouters won the famous Handball Cup but the visitors won most of the junior games. The dancers on Saturday night pack ed First Lower Hutt hall to the limit, and was thoroughly' enjoyed. If you see a trail like a Valentine tank's trunk on the Normandale llill it's only where we took our, visitors on Saturday afternoon. Those attending the Upper Hutt Campfire next Saturday will catch the train at Petone 6.30 p.m, Lower Hutt 6.40 p.m, and return on the 9.55 p.m from Upper Hutt. Old Wolves meet for the last time this year on Thursday, Novemberj 25th.
