The Stokes Valley Branch of the League of Mothers held MembersDay recently when Mrs Warder presided. Mrs. P. Smith arranged the competitions and gave a recitation Which was greatly appreciated.
A cordial invitation is extended to aIL women to attend a public meeting in the 'R.S.A. Hall on Tuesday afternoon next for the purpose of diacuasittgf the liigh cost of waste of essential products. Mrs. Charlotte Henderson, president of the Women's Discussion Meetings, will attain}, the meeting.
On. Monday evening next the mniryhern of the Hutt Bowling and Tennis Club are holding an evening of music and dancing in the club's pavilion. All members are urged to attend as the proceeds of this effort will for our own boys fighting.,,pyerseas. g
members of the Hutt Bowling Tennis Club have arranged to hold a social evening in the Bowling pavijioii on Monday evening next for the purpose of raising funds to purchase gifts for the boys overseas and to provide a Roll of Honour Board for the Club. Members are requested to bring a plate.
