Floweir Show Great interest is being taken in the flower show to be held in the Waterloo School next Friday night, and which will be officially opened by Mr. C. G. Scrimgeour at 7.30 p.m. Hundreds of entries of flowers and vegetables have been promised and the show should be even better than that held two years ago and which was described by the judge on that occasion as the best he had ever seen. We understand that marrows and pumpkins are being polished in readiness but that the efforts of one competitor to blow up his tomatoes with a bicycle pump will only lead to disqualification.' Garden , Fete The committee at Waterloo is well known for the quality and novely of its garden fetes. That to be held on Saturday will be no exception and is to be preceded at 1 p.m. by a school sports programme. There will be numerous stalls, lucky admission tickets, and- at great expense the committee have arranged for the appearance of Masca thei Mystic, whom everyone should not fail to see. As funds raised are to assist the erection of a two-nurse dental clinic at the school, there is to be a special and most interesting display for the Health Department by the local dental nurse.
