——— FARM XL—MARTIN Elaine Annette, only daughter of Mrs. D. C. Martin and the late MiMartin, Was recently married to : Lieut. Ronald Farnell, N.Z.A'„O.Cj son of Mr and Mrs. W. J. A. Farnell, New Plymouth. The ceremony took place at St. James's Church ahd was performed by the vicar, R"6v H. E. K. Fry. Miss 13. G. G. Harte was at .the organ. The bride,; f «y was escorted by Rev William Martin, wore a 'Charming blue frock cut on fitting lines with pin-tucked bodice and flared skirt. Her large picture hat was of matching blue felt and she carried a bouquet of roses and delphiniums. Her bridesmaids. Misses Shirley King and Nancy Butt, were dressed alike in frocks of dusky pink which, 'featured inlets of sunray jileating on the bodices. Dark red roses l'qrmvd their bouquets, and they wore matching hat^. Dr. D. H. Saunders was best man, and ' Li : mU.\dtt. M. Patterson, N.Z.S.C, was groomsman. Over sixty guests were received at "Canowindra," Hautana Street, the home of the bride's mother. Mrs. Martin was in a. graceful hostess gown of - golden brown net. and her bouquet was of autumn tinted dahlias. A smart black and white ensemble and a spray of red roses was worn by M : rs. Farnell, who assisted ;Mrs. Martin to receive the guests. -■ For travelling Mrs, Ron Farnell's choice was a frock, of brown woollen fabric, worn with a fur cape and brown and mustard accessories.
