Cricket
Two fruitless attempts have been made by the Hutt District Cricket club to open its activities for the 1941-42 Reason. Grade matches are scheduled to commence on Saturday, 18th October, but some doubt haß been expressed concerning this. Consequently the local club has made arrangements with Trentham Camp for the Army to meet Hutt in the event of grade matches not commencing. There is some excellent talent at Trentham at present, as shown by the request of the camp authorities to the Cricket Association to accept a second Army team in -the senior grade. An invitation is extended to all supporters of the game to be present when the season opeiiß on Saturday next.
