FREE KINDERGARTEN
$ ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATED The thirteenth birthday party of the Lower Hutt Free Kindergarten was held in the Moera Community Hall. The programme inclu'ded pianoforte solos by Mrs. Hodgson, vocal items by Mrß. Fox and elocutionary items by Mrs. McKenzie. The hall was beautifully decorated with spring flowers. The children's party tables were decorated in pink and green shades, and the cake, presented by Mrs. Hall, represented the house of the three bears with the bears standing at the door. When the candles were lighted the scene was very striking. There was also a "grown-up" cake iced in pink and white, and twotiered. The cake was cut by Mrs. Leighton, a vice-president of the association. Fifty mothers Were ! present and ; 3(1 visitors! The visitors w?re in-' I terested in the jameg and ?. songs of the children; / supervised by Miff* Vivienne Alfred.
