St. James's Parish is looking forward to the arrival of the Rev. W. E. ■W. Hurst M,A. who is coming from Northern Ireland to assist the Vicar. (Rev. H. E. K. Fry). Air. Hurst's pastoral work will be particularly in the rapidly growing districts of Waiwhetu and Moera. He is a "passenger on the "Remuera" due to arrive in Wellington 011 the '28th, and welcome socials have been arranged at St. Paul's, Waiwhetu on the 4th, and at St. James's on the sth October in the evenings. The Rev. W. Martin of Sumner and Mrs Otway of Whangarei who have been the guests of Mrs. D. C. Martin, have returned to their homes. ill's W. P. Williams is visiting her daughter, Mrs. Robertson a'i New Plymouth. Replying to a question at his meeting on Wednesday night, as to whether he "was in favour of a Minister of the Crown attacking a woman from a privileged position in the House," Mr. Combs, Labour candidate for Wellington Suburbs said he had been assured by the Hon.
