HIGH STREET LIGHTING
Indications of an extension of the installation c-f the experimental lighting Which has been undergoing tests between the Hutt Bridge and Queen's Road in High Street were given in a letter received by the Hutt Valley Elee trie Power Board at last Thursday's meeting from the Lower Hutt 'Borough Council. The council asked for a quotation for the installation of 17 lights which, i't was understood, would necessitate nine extra poles to carry the incandescent type of lamp and in the alternative 13 lamps of the mercury vapour type. The engineer-general manageT, Mr E. P. Hollands, was instructed to supply the information required.
