LABOUR WEEKLY DANCE.
The overwhelming success of the series of weekly idanees held in Birch StTeet Hall every Saturday continues unabated. The social committee of the local Labour Party may be faced with the problem of increased hall accommodation to cope with the ever-increasing number attending these functions. On Saturday last the hall was taxed to capacity when over 200 dancers thoroughly enjoyed a very popular programme. The music supplied continues to make it impossible for any to resist the temptation .to dance, and midnight comes all too .soon. The splendid dance floor and really good supper supplied also plays an important part in the success of these weekly dances. Arrangements are now well advanced for the aunual ball of the Party on Friday, August 27. The demand for invitations for this event has been phenomenal and any members or supporters of the 'Party who have been overlooked in this respect should communicate with the secretary or members of the social committee.
