LEAGUE OF MOTHERS.
MOKKA BRANCH ANNUALMEETING. The annual nieeiing of the Moeru branch of the League of Mothers was held recently. Mrs. McLean presided over a good attendance of members and friends. The hall was tastefully decorated with Iceland poppies and spring flowers and foliage. Mrs .Logic sang two songs, "Parted" and "Red Red Rose," very sweetly. As Mrs. McLean is leaving the district she was presented with a shrub as a token of the League members' love tinid esteem towards her.
Mrs. Kersley spoke on "Home and Ideals" and her talk was most interesting and helpful to all. The ■choir sang four songs, "Sweet and Low," "Saute Lucia," "Red Rose, Dead Rose," and "Alohe." Mrs. Wodekind was accompanist. The following committee was elected: President, Mrs. Ashforth; secretary, Marshall; treasurer, Mrs. Saddler; vicepresidents, Mrs. Kersley, .Mrs. McKenKic, Mrs. Studholine, Mrs. Fry, Mrs. Robinson; committee, Mesdames Beasley, Tyrall, MeCulloch, Peaivy, Bennett, Pearce, Jamie, Haare, Cropp, Hayton, Milsom, Wedekimd, Abbott, Davies, [studholuxo, Mount, Stevens. j Afternoon tea and the singing of the jjNatioaal Anthem brought the afternoon to a close.
