EASTERN HUTT SCHOOL.
REMODELLING OF INFANT DEFT. Work has begun on the remodelling of the infect section. of the Eastern Hutt School with the object of (providing sunlight and removing floor dampness. The present section,- which consists of two rooms, has not received any sunshine and the floors have always been 'damp. The two existing rooms will be converted into a cloakroom and a cor rider, and the floor will (be raised. Two new rooms will be 'built on the northern side, with modern ventilation and windows designed to get the maximum of sunshine and fresh air. Tli-e work will talce six weeks to two months to finish. It may bo necessary for the AVellington Education Board to take a hall in the vicinity to enable the infant work to be carried on during the progress of the remodelling.
