HIGH STREET PROPERTY.

SALE OF PRESBYTERY. The Catholic Presbytery in High Street has been acquired by the Bank of New South Wales. The land has a frontage of (30 feet and a depth of 120 feet. The presbytery is about 50 years old. It was the first Roman, Catholic presbytery in the Hutt Valley. Two sections owned by the church authorities and situate together alongside the site of the new Post Office have Ijeqn sold to a prominent firm in Wellington and a private buyer. These sales may bring nearer the desire of Hutt Roman Catholics to erect a new church in place of the present 'building which is about 50 years old.
