■mere was a iarg[c attenuance ot. James's Church on Sunday evening when the parish's missjquer, Rev H, V. C. Reyndds preached his farewell sermon before returning to his work in the Melanesiaii islands alter three months furlough, After the service an opportunity was given .for parishioners /to bid farewell to Mr. Reynolds at a gathering in the hall. The vicar, Rev H. E. K. Fry, who was prevented through sickness from feeing present, convoyed his good wishes for Mr. Reynold's future 'by a letter'which was read Ujy his w r anlen. Mr. S. M. Hobbs, on behalf of the parishioners, and Mt. G. L. Giesen wished Mr. Reynolds God-speckl and the best wishes of tlie people of St. James's for the .future success of his great work in the islands. Rev. T.. E. F-agg. spoke of his happy relationship ' with Mr. Reynolds and thanked him for the hpip, he had so freely given in th,e .parish during his stay, particularly during the illness of - the ykay,. Air.
