Hutt made a giood star.t in their iirst match in the First Division, defeating Melrose/Selwyn by 11 to 6. They were strengthened' in the forwards by Dalton and Foster, these players making a big difference to the line out and scrum work. Another heavy forward or two would help them in the harder matches ahead.'
