ANGLICAN SOCIAL.
The Anglican Ladies' Committee at Taita, having, by their efforts this year furnished the church there, held a social last week to Taise funds to pay for the bus' which, leaves Park .Avenue' every Sunday and conveys all scholars from there, and en route,, who wish to attend the Taita Sunday School, and after school, takes; them -home again. Such a venture deserves every encouragement, and evidently^aita--residents realise this, for there was an excellent attendance at the social, which was a particularly happy affair., Miss Rose Carte and /her pupils journeyed from' Eastbourne 'to provide t&'e; programme, which included that most entertaining play "Between The Soup,. And the Savoury. " Jamieson's Orchestra sup* plied the music for the dancing and there were also games, and-r—prob-ably not the least acceptable item^supperl During the evening the Rev. W: E. Da vies, on behalf of the vicar, Veu. Archdeacon Harisell, most heartily thanked all who had worked so -hard during the year so that the church might become the very attractive building it now is, and hoped that the coming year might be a very bright and successful one for them all.
