ST. STEPHEN'S PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH.
The visiting committee in connection with the Church, held a social evening for new people last 'Wednesday nigit, 12th inst, Many who have •connected themselves with the churc-h. during these ■last few month met one another, and also representatives from the various organisations within the church. A very enjoyable evening was spent and all felt it was quij;el worth while.
Sunday last was anniversary. The Rev. H. W.JHiteheoek, of MiramaT, was the morning preacher and the Minister of tie congregation, the Bey. J. E. Lop, dell, in the evening. There were large congregations. The choir rendered anr tthems, and krs W. H. PhilUpps sang at the evening service to the enjoyment of all present.
The annual meeting takes place on Thursday, 20th inst^ when the usual ixeports will l>e submitted.
