A DISTRESSING- CASE,

»Sir, —We haive a father w^ho is in desperate straits for the want of ready cash, his /wife expecting! to go into hospital before the end of this month. jN"o man has tried harder than- he has to obtain work, and when given garjdening to do, has been recommended from one place to another and engaged .'again when required.
