METHODIST CHOIR CONCERT.
A concert programme of exceptional interest is being presented in the St. James's Hall, on Monday next, October 6th. Under the baton of that talented conductor^ Mi-. Ernest Dawsonjj) the Methodist Church Choir will rendei^ the cantata ' * England Expects (music by Herbert Bath, poem by H. de Vere StaCpoole^'Elgar's exquisite part song, "Tho Snow" (female voices pnly), ''Song of the Vikings,"'. (Eaton Fanning), and "The Challenge of Thox" (Edward Elgar). Mr. C. R. Horman is the accompanist and Signor A. P. Truda leader of the orchestra which will support the choir. The soloists include Miss Evelyn Robinson (contralto>, Mr. Wilbur Davies (ibaritone), and Mr. Assheton Harbord (reeitalist). Miss AvaJ3ymons and Mr. W. McLean will play the famous Sonata for two violins (Handel). ChaTges for admission are one shilling two shillings (reserved). The box plan is open at Ernest Dawson's Music Rooms, 74 High Street, and tickets may be obtained from choir members or direct from tieMusic Rooms. Prior to the rendering of the cantata Miss Mary Cooley will recite the poem '' England Expects" by EL do Vere Staepoole.
