WELLINGTON & SUBURBAN POULTRY-KEEPERS' CLUB.
In view of the chaotic conditions existing'to-day,, in the marketing and sale of eggs which act to the detriment of producer and -consumer alike, the question arose at a meeting of executives of the Wellington and Suburban Poultry-keepers' Club held last Thursday as to why the Government bad not taken action in order to place the (business on a proper footing by way of the marketing regulatings which have been under consideration by the Department of Agriculture for, several months.
It was resolved oh the motion of Mr. A. G. Muinby, seconded iby Mr S. D. Mottls, that the executives of the "Wellington Provincial Council of the N.Z. Poultry Association, be strongly recommended and urgently requested; to forthwith call <a full meeting of suchcouncils in order to discuss the question and to draw the attention of that Department of Agriulture to the uTgent necessity of protecting egg prodiiiceTa! by hastening, as much as possible, the introduction of regulations, governing the grading and selling of eggs.
