BARRISTER'S COMMENT.
In addressing the Court on Fridaylast in- an affiliation ease, Mr. C. B. Barrett (counsel for the defendant),, asked His Worship (Mr. T. B: MeNeill, S.M)y if he (Mr. Barratt); might !be permitted to observe that, from the evidence adduced by him in the crossexamination of the lady in the ease, the Becreatipn Ground, Petone, appeared to be the "Hyde Park" of that municipality. (Loud laughter from the back of the Court).
