SNEAK THIEVING.
ACCUSED SENT TO GAOL. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) MASTERTON, This Day. This class of offence is purely sneak thieving and very difficult to detect, stated Detective-Sergeant Kane in the Magistrate's Court, when Ernest Minifie, driver, aged 28, was charged with the theft of four money boxes and their contents and a bottle and a half of whisky of the total value of £3 lis 6d, the property of Cyril Kandal Judd, IMauriceville. Accused was also charged with the theft ofi £1 the property of Clarence Meredith, of Tikitapu. Accused pleaded guilty to both charges. On the first he was sentenced to one month's imprisonment and on the second he was convicted and discharged.
