IJlayingl J laying on a ground which was good on the surface but was sticky after overnight rain, the Indian hockev team defeated Nelson by seven goals to one this afternoon in fine but overcast weather. The Indians were one man short in the second half, Feroz Khan having strained a muscle. As a result only two goals were scored in the second spell. Nelson put up a valiant (ifcht, the defence of the goalkeeper Holland, and the full-backs, Hunter and Frost, being outstanding. Sultan Khan was brilliant. Scorers for Manavadar wore Sultan Khan (-1), Abdul Latif (2) and Shahabuddin. For Nelson Weston scored.
